Who is The Avenger?

The Avenger, or Anti Avenger as they are sometimes known (although the comic is commonly referred to as the Avenging Spider-Man) is a super villain featured in a number of Marvel comic book series. The Avenger, also known simply as the Anti Avenger, is a member of the Symbiotrochemical spider family and is one of the more original members of the team. He is a member of the Anti Avengers, along with Spider-Man (aldo), Wolverine, Ghost Rider, and The Fantastic Four.

First, we need to address why the Anti Avenger was created. There were two separate teams that formed the Anti Avengers, the Red Room and the Savage Landers. In the comic books, this character was created after a virus caused the death of his wife and daughter, forcing him to take over their science lab and create a serum that would reverse aging. He made a deal with the devil to find a means to duplicate his wife's and daughter's death, which would allow him to live forever.

Much to his dismay, he discovered that the serum he created had some side effects, and that it was only temporary. He began searching the internet for ways to fully reverse aging, and when he discovered that the Anti Avengers existed, he decided that he might have to join them. He joined the team, but then started to change his mind about joining them. He thought that he could not be a part of an evil team; therefore, he left.

The first appearance of the Avenger was in issue #1 of the Avenger comic book series. He was introduced as the second team leader and fought against the Green Monster. He easily defeated the monster, but then turned back into the Anti Avenger. He then followed Spider-Man to New York City, where he again defeated the wallster, only to be stopped by Spider-Man.

After being disabled once again, the Anti Avenger decided that he needed a way to get back into action. He started to create more villains with the spider web fluid that he injected into the Marvel Universe. He also put a homing device on one of his aircraft that allowed him to return to earth. Once his body was healed, he left Earth once again.

During the Civil War storyline, Anti Avenger joined the fight against Captain America. He made sure that his army of Anti Avengers would hold off the soldiers while he made his way to the capital of America. However, he was stopped by Iron Man. He tried to kill Iron Man, however, when he was injected with a serum that made him immune to iron. He then went after the legendary billionaire, but was defeated once again.

The Avenger eventually went into retirement after the Civil War was over. He retired to travel the world, but was captured by Dr. Doom. He was placed in a mental institution, where he was forced to work as an expert on weapons. One day, he went missing from his airplane and was believed to have died.

Several years later, a mysterious stranger picked up Anti Avenger and took him to Latveria, a place that had a serum created by Doctor Doom to turn humans into powerful warriors. He was given the serum and used it to turn some Latvians into huge, muscular men. He returned to New Mexico to help battle the Hulk, but when the battle started, he discovered that the Hulk was no longer human, but instead, a giant green monster. The two fought for another day, but the green monster turned the fight into a battle between good and evil once again, using the chemical sprayed in his eyes to turn the people of Latveria against the Hulk.
